(Taj Mahal opens 30 Minutes before sunrise and closes 30 Minutes before sunset during normal operating days)
Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays for general viewing. Other days it is always open.

(Buying Taj Mahal Ticket From Entry Gate Ticket Counter)

  • Taj Mahal West Gate :- Tickets are available at West Gate near Saheli Burj. (Timing-One Hour before Sunrise upto 45 Minutes before Sunset).
  • Taj Mahal East Gate :- Tickets are available at the Eastern Gate of Taj Mahal. (Timing-One Hour before Sunrise upto 45 Minutes before Sunset).
  • Taj Mahal Southern Gate :- No Entry from this gate at Present only Exit is allowed.

There are separate queues for foreign and domestic tourists to enter the Taj and signs will direct you accordingly.

Note-

  1. Tourists buying tickets online will get a discount of Rs.5/- for per Indian ticket & Rs. 50/- for per Foreigner ticket.
  2. No Entry fee for children below the age of 15 years. (both Domestic and Foreigner).
  3. Additional Rs.200/- will be charged if one wants to visit the main mausoleum
  4. Ticket windows for Taj Mahal open one hour before Sunrise & close 45 minutes before Sunset.
    (Currently Not available due to Covid)
  5. Drone camera is strictly prohibited inside the Taj Mahal.
  6. Tourists are advised to stay inside the monument as per the directions mentioned on tickets or issued by ASI authorities
  7. Tourist must carry his/her Identity Proof issued by Govt. Authorities.
  8. Water bottle is allowed inside the monument. Shoe cover, water bottle, tourist guide map of Agra, battery bus and golf cart services are provided free of cost with the foreigner’s entry ticket of the Taj.
  9. Shoe racks are available just below the main mausoleum free of cost.
  10. Ticket window and cloak rooms are available at both the Gates of Taj Mahal.
  11. For visiting main mausoleum of the tajmahal one has to buy additional ticket of Rs.200/- along with regular ticket.
